Single Sign-On

With ARMS Single Sign-on, users need to enter only one set of credentials to access their apps in the cloud and behind the firewall while using desktops, smartphones, and tablets. In addition, single sign-on makes password security easier for administrators. Enforcing strong passwords—like those required by CJIS—and changing them every 90 days is much simpler when users don’t have to know their passwords.

Secure your Data with the ARMS SSO Portal

The ARMS system manages end-user authentication for both the desktop ARMS client and the web-based ARMS modules through the ARMS Identity Service web application. In addition, ARMS Identity Service supports end-user authentication integration with SAML 2.0 based SSO systems.  SAML 2.0 is widely used for SaaS authentication; it is well established and provides excellent security.

SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is an open standard that allows identity providers (IdP) to pass authorization credentials to service providers (SP). SAML transactions use Extensible Markup Language (XML) for standardized communication between the identity and service providers. SAML is the link between the authentication of the end user’s identity and the authorization to use the system.

Benefits of OneLogin

Strengthen Security

Implement your identity rules across all ARMS users, devices, cloud, and on-premises applications. The ARMS SSO Portal meets FBI CJIS Security Policy requirement for Advanced Authentication. Advanced Authentication is required by FBI CJIS Security Policy when working anywhere other than at the physically secured PD and behind the firewall. Allows for the use of dual authentication.

Increase User Productivity

SSO provides quick and easy sign-in capabilities that will make it more convenient for your ARMS users to work anywhere with any device. Not to mention eliminating the calls for password resets and late-night lock-out calls.

Meet Agency/Institution Requirements

Meet the agency/organization/institution’s own Information Security requirements for user login, no matter the location of the user.
